re-cite is a live intermedial experiment. At the hub of this durational installation is a performer, weaving threads of sound, image, object and text into intermedial webs, which coalesce, disperse and resolve themselves into the darkness around her.
Constructed from familiar tunes, everyday objects and improvised texts, all the elements of the installation are transfigured by their co-existence and real time manipulation. The result is an ever-shifting audio-visual space, which you are invited to inhabit as you choose.
Peer over the performer’s shoulder, dance in the darkness, lie in the corner and listen… However you choose to engage with it, your presence is a vital element of this developing experience, which is generated within and in response to each passing moment.
